Description
Nina Simone’s 1974 album It Is Finished marked the end of her time with RCA and arrived as she left the US for Barbados. Mixing live and studio recordings, Simone tackles Tina Turner’s ‘Funkier Than A Mosquito’s Tweeter’, ‘Mr Bojangles’, Steppenwolf’s ‘The Pusher’ and blues standard ‘I Want a Little Sugar in My Bowl’, putting her unmistakable voice and commanding presence at the centre.
